Hey ALFWC Kids!
 
It’s me, Amber Alleyne reporting from the Youth Zone giving you an update on our progress for the Capital Campaign to date. So, let me tell you what we have been doing!

My favorite fundraiser is the “Coin Drive”! The kick off for the “Coin Drive” was Sunday, June 29th.  Minister Dwayne Jennings made up a rap song for our kick off!  It was great!  We distributed 1,500 coin cards.  Each card equaled $5 when filled.  We had two coin donation boxes for all loose coins, which were available during the offering times at each service.   

The coin card portion of the coin drive ended on September 7th.  With the help of the Abundant Life Family members and friends, the youth have raised over $4,000 as of 8/3/08 for our new church and youth!  Isn’t that wonderful!!!  I believe this has made Bishop and Pastor Mary very happy!  

Oh yeah, in case you didn’t know, we have a Youth Capital Campaign team . . . and I am a part of it!  To be a part of “Destiny Fulfilled” makes me feel proud.  Just knowing that I am a part of my ALFWC’s future makes me feel like I want to do more and more!  I may be a 10-year old, but I feel like  a very blessed 10-year old!
