Happy New Year

We pray as you begin 2009; you do so with vigor, a renewed sense of purpose, a determined mindset to conquer with unwavering faith. As you continue to pursue God this year, be inspired, motivated & encouraged to believe Him for every promise He has made. You may not have received what you were expecting in 2008, but don't give up now! This is a year of “Pursuing God” relentlessly, and you are right at the edge of your greatest miracle. An “eternal breakthrough” is being birthed in your life. Faith is the foundation of existence in every believer, and when “believers operate in faith” we can enter the Kingdom of God. Get your faith and belief stirred up! Pray and trust God for the supernatural and you will be victorious! God has already prepared you for what He has for you, and it is going to be AWESOME!

One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan, And Jesus answering said, “Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?  There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.” And he said unto him, “Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.”  - Luke 17:15-19 (KJV)

Respect the Process, Receive the Promise!

Your Giving In Motion has a promised blessing associated with it, however, there is also a process which must be embraced, respected and completed to receive it.  Having the right dynamics (cheerful, faithful and prompt) in your heart and mind when giving, always position you for the "promise", but it is your obedience and faith that are most critical in the process.

Here are a few examples of extraordinary blessings received when the process was completed:

  • Elijah the prophet commanded the widow with only a little food for her family to feed him first; afterwards they never ran out of food again (1 Kings 17:-8-16)
  • The Lord instructed Naaman to dip in the dirty water seven times; while reluctant at first, in the end he was completely healed of leprosy (2 Kings 5:11-15)
  • Peter yielded more fish than he’d ever when Jesus instructed him to cast his net in a certain place (John 21:4-7)
  • Because Mary embraced in faith the message from Gabriel, the angel from God, she gave birth to the “Promise”, the Lord Jesus Christ and Savior of the world! (Luke 1:38)

Affectionate Giving

Greeting David was the epitome of being an "affectionate giver."  1 Chronicles 29:3 describes his mindset & sentiments about directing his private treasure of gold & silver for the house of God. While most would have kept their "secret riches" hidden, he enthusiastically, lovingly & openly gave it for the Kingdom of God. David understood no doubt that God was his source; everything he received came from Him; therefore giving back exhibited his gratitude.

Here are 3 principles we can extract from David's experience:

  1. Passion: He received joy out of giving & was "driven" to sow an unusual seed that would bless the next generations
  2. Personal: He refused to allow anyone to dictate what he gave, how much or from whence it came. It was his sacrifice & anything else contrary to that was irrelevant
  3. Process: The Word of God provides the foundation for one's giving. God wants your head & heart in your giving.

David's unyielding commitment to giving guaranteed a lifetime of blessings not just for himself, but his entire household for generations to come.  Are you passionate about your giving? Is your sacrifice unusual? How does your head & heart feel after you have blessed others?

KEEP GIVING IN MOTION!

It's Youth Month @ ALFWC

This month has been designated as "Youth Month", and we are excited about what God is doing in the lives of our young people. We believe their future is great and they are walking in divine destiny on "purpose".

The Bible is filled with countless stories of how God used young people to accomplish enormous  assignments for His Kingdom. Some presided over kingdoms; others led armies to win victorious battles, conquered kingdoms and built temples. Here are a few examples:

  • Queen Esther's (teenager) courageous efforts saved her people from annihilation
  • Samuel, (teenager) the great prophet chosen to anoint David as king
  • David, an anointed psalmist, worshipper and king who slew Goliath the giant
  • Joseph, dream interpreter & administrator
  • Solomon, known as the wisest of kings, built an excellent temple for the Lord
  • Isaiah, prophet to the Northern Kingdom of Israel
  • Mary was bestowed the highest honor, mother of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ
  • Jesus at the age of 13,  was found ministering in the temple

You see, it really doesn't matter about age at all; but it is all about the cross. Join the "Cross Movement" today. For His Namesake and for His glory!

"Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you say, 'I have no pleasure in them.'"
Ecclesiastes 12:1 NIV

The Benefits of Power Relationships

A "power relationship" spurned in the Kingdom of God will thrust you into your next dimension of blessings. Beware! When you engage in these types of relationships, it can create moments of "shaking" in your life; however, it is only for the purpose of stirring up the gift God has deposited in you, to fulfill His perfect plan!  When challenges arise to hinder your movement, do not become stagnate; good flow and strength comes through relationships. Even the ones which seem negative, God will use to teach you valuable lessons, so don"t resist them.

When David fled to the cave of Adullam in an attempt to flee Saul"s wrath, 400 "needy men" followed him there.  David was in the midst of his own crises, yet God "connected" them in the cave for a purpose.  Under David"s leadership, they "turned" from being distressed men to becoming "Mighty Men of Valor". The right "power relationship" will produce these benefits:

  1. Connections
  2. Loyalty
  3. Transformation
  4. A turn in the right direction towards becoming victorious

God has a promise connected to your potential!

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" -  Ephesians 3:20 KJV
